ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES BOOST AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The Managing Director of Tasmanian Affordable Housing Limited [TAHL], Derris Gillam, today announced that Tasmania's stocks of affordable housing have received a boost with 14 homes developed at Bridgewater on Hobart's northern outskirts and St Helens on the east coast.
"The homes have been constructed by local builders with funding from interstate developers and leased to TAHL as part of its effort to provide low-cost houses for people on the Housing Tasmania waiting list.
The homes are 5.5 star energy efficient."

PREMIER and MINISTER THORP LAUNCH NEW DEVELOPMENT
The Premier, David Bartlett, turned the first sod on the development of three 2-bedroom units at Lindisfarne on Hobart's eastern shore.
"I am pleased that STEPS and Tasmanian Affordable Housing Limited are joining with us to increase the supply of affordable housing and make a difference to Tasmanian's lives."
The Minister for Human Services, Lin Thorp joined the Premier in announcing that another TAHL development of four 2-bedroom units has recently been completed in Bridgewater and will take up to eight more people off the public housing waiting list."
